When I first began speaking with Salim Lakhani, I was interested in how his company, WebEnabled, had decided to use Drupal.
As we approach the moment of the camp, the elements of the event begin to take shape and approach their final form. Powerpoint slides, contests, t-shirt designs, and other minute details are being finalized, packed and secured. At some point, we each stop to reflect, "am I forgetting something", or "where did I put that thinga-ma-bob?"
We got special rates for Drupal Design Camp at the Kendall Hotel. It's right down the street (5 min walk) from the Stata Center.
Some people say some of the best times during a Drupal event is the time spent with follow Drupalists in and around the event.
A century of attendees. As of a few minutes ago, we passed through the 100 attendee mark at the Drupal Design Camp Boston. Passing 100 registered attendees is only the first of three milestones on this trek, but it gets easier as time goes on - so I hear.
We are planning on making this Camp one of the greenest in the history of Drupal Camps. We hope to set a standard that other Camps, Cons and Conferences can both aspire to and model after in years to come.
But the Drupal Design Camp Boston is L.I.V.E.! Please come and sample the wonderful goodness of Drupal and the coming camp. This event is the latest in the Design 4 Drupal initiative launched at DrupalCon DC.
A quick update to the activities and some inside dirt.
The hard-hats are on, the gloves are off, and the website is bending to the will of the organizers of the Drupal Design Camp Boston. The official launch is any day now and the team has been working diligently to line up sponsors, speakers, topics, and food.
